We are looking for a Business Development Manager on the Lodging Team in our Media Solutions Department. Your primary responsibility is to drive new account acquisition, launching, and, monitoring the performance of new campaigns. You will also have revenue and management responsibility for a portfolio of existing online advertiser accounts. You will develop market-specific strategies to reach a quarterly revenue target while producing industry-leading results for your partners. You will uncover and implement revenue growth initiatives and deliver measurable value to the accounts you lead.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects that ensures the attainment of quarterly revenue targets

  • Engage with partners to understand their business needs and goals while developing effective marketing strategies to achieve those goals

  • Develop a territory and market-level sales strategy to grow the Expedia Media Solutions TravelAds and Display business for our Lodging Partners

  • Utilize analytics skills to understand performance data and trends to then make forward-thinking suggestions through analyzing trends

  • Uncover high return on investment opportunities and present them to clients

  • Actively educate partners on the features and functionality of the product so they can best utilize it independently

  • Monitor the day-to-day performance of advertising partnerships and resolve issues as they arise

  • Deliver continued improvement in revenue contribution to Media Solutions through a consultative partner-first sales approach

  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly revenue goals as set by sales leadership

  • Partner with other media sellers and client-facing teams through Expedia, Group to achieve the best results possible for the company and partners

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Media Sales or Travel industry or other related field; or equivalent related professional experience

  • 1 to 3 years of sales experience in media sales or travel industry

  • Fluent in English

  • Proven ability to meet revenue targets and effectively present proposals & provide influence at the senior management level

  • Experience in providing consultative sales support and building long-lasting client relationships

  • Validated ability to collaborate with peers, managers, and other client-facing teams

The total cash range for this position in West Hollywood is $88,500.00 to $124,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $141,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
